The Direct Support Grants Programme (DSGP) has been developed in response to the immediate need for firms to retool and mitigate the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Caribbean Export has allocated funds for CARIFORUM firms, to be dispersed as grant funding. This funding is provided by the European Union under the 11th EDF Regional Private Sector Development Programme.
CARIFORUM firms can apply for a non- reimbursable grant valued between €5,000 – €15,000 to implement approved projects.

EXPECTED TO IMPACT THE LESSER ANTILLES IN A FEW DAYS
The National Hurricane Centre and other Meteorological Services in the region, continue to monitor the progress of Invest 92L/Disturbance 1. The system continues to develop and may be upgraded to a Tropical Depression or Tropical Storm today or tomorrow. If it is upgraded to a tropical storm, Isaias will be the ninth tropical storm for the season
Forecasters have indicated that the disturbance may begin affecting the Lesser Antilles from late Wednesday into Thursday and the British Virgin Islands late Thursday into Friday.

A moderate to brisk trade wind flow generated by a relatively strong high-pressure system will continue to produce rough seas, as well as transport shallow low-level patches over and around the British Virgin Islands today and tonight.
