In 1997 the idea of the trade expo was developed by the efforts of the BVI Chamber of Commerce (BVICoC) and the Trade Promotion Unit of the BVI. The BUY BVI Trade Expo was set up to not only highlight and promote innovative business ideas, but also to develop and strengthen the local economy through increased local spending.

Due to the major hurricane in 2017 and the 2020 pandemic, we have not had a Trade Expo since 2017. However, past shows have attracted almost 70 businesses in the last year that it was held. We are eagerly looking forward to its return on October 20th and 21st 2023 at the Multipurpose Sport Complex.
