The BUY BVI Trade Expo was first developed in 1997 through the combined efforts of the BVI Chamber of Commerce (BVICoC) and the Trade Promotion Unit of the BVI. Its mission is to promote innovative business ideas and strengthen the local economy by encouraging increased local spending.

After a hiatus due to the major hurricane in 2017 and the global pandemic in 2020, the Trade Expo returned in October 2023, reigniting the spirit of business innovation and economic growth in the BVI. The 2024 Expo was a great success, attracting a vibrant mix of local businesses and entrepreneurs eager to showcase their products and services.
